Boston is my favorite city in the US so far. I have lived here for 8 years now. It's super quiet, very rich in history and student friendly. In terms of hotels, the city has a lot to offer but the prices are always very high into the $500-600 per night. Luckily, there are a few good quality and affordable options that I've written about in other posts.
The best neighborhoods in the city are the South End and Back Bay. They are both relatively close to each other. The architecture is very spectacular and it's inspired by the mid 19th century.

These are the kind of buildings you will find in Back Bay. Houses sell at least for $10M. The neighborhood is well-known in the city and has a good reputation for being safe, clean and with beautiful architecture. Newbury street, which is the fashion hub of the city is located in Back Bay, and there are so many good food options as well as cafes. The must-visit Boston Public Library is also located around this area as well as the famous Trinity Church.
My favorite cafe is called La Burdick and they have this amazing hot white chocolate that you'll really love in the winter time. I have so food spots too especially in the South End area. I will have to write another post with my favorite restaurants in both of these neighborhoods.
