Just like ice igloos in Iceland, there has been a trend for glamping in South America. The word glamping combines glamorous with camping and it provides you with a very unique opportunity to experience nature at its best. There are so many of them but the one I wanted to share is called “El Color de mis Rêves”.
El Color de mis Rêves
This is located in a city called Manizales in Western Colombia. This town is full of culture and GREAT coffee. There are 6 tents that are fully equipped for any kind of climate and the high altitude. The 6 tents are named according to what surrounds them.

Activities
For nature lovers who want to disconnect and truly have an experience, here you can enjoy the sightseeing of any of the 239 registered bird species in the area, horseback riding around rivers, or just hiking and exploring nature.

Amenities
All tents have all the amenities necessary. They all include a private toilet but when it comes to showering most of them have non-private showers that are out in the air.

However, there is a tent that includes the toilet and a barrel with warm water available (still out in the air) but it’s private within the tent.

Food
They have a restaurant menu that you select from prior to arriving but you are also welcome to bring your own food. Breakfast is included on your accommodation payment!

They also include your transportation from where you can park your car to where the tents are located.
